The Ath/Sav Kick Off Ride on Saturday, March 4th, from the Jittery Joe’s Roaster was a HUGE success! We had a good time, lovely weather, and many participants. Here are the photos by FFE trustee Derrick Floyd that were featured in the Athens Banner Herald’s SPOTTED section online: IMG_2703.JPG
Dr. Ken Sherman, organizer of the Ath/Sav, is sponsoring a percentage night at Hendershot’s to further benefit the Foundation for Excellence.
This will be held on Sunday night, March 26th, from 6-9 p.m. There will be music from primarily local school bands with a suggested $10 donation at the door. Ken is gathering some great raffle items, and we are donating two big gift baskets with FFE and CCSD “swag” items galore. Raffle tickets will be $5 for 1, 3 for $10, and 8 for $20. Spread the word and come out for a fun night to further a GREAT cause–encouraging, recognizing, and rewarding excellence in the CCSD!
See photos below from past AthSav Bike Rides. This annual fundraiser, the brainchild of Dr. Ken Sherman, takes riders from Athens to Savannah.
Pictured below are 2015 FFE trustees Kjirsten Ogburn, Meg Hines, president David Meyers, and Julie Bower feeding riders at Jittery Joe’s Roaster.
