The Foundation for Excellence awards thousands of dollars for classroom grants annually.

Mr. William Lowe of Cedar Shoals High School, recipient of the 2023 Arthur Moog Middleton Writing Grant for High School Teachers, with his students. Mr. Lowe used his grant to help his students write employment proposals for future employers.

Classroom Grant Application

The application window for 2026 Classroom Grants opens July 27, 2026.

All classroom grant proposals are due September 6, 2026.

​​Final reports form from the current year’s grant cycle has been emailed to all grant recipients. 

Final grant reports are due May 31, 2026.

Past Classroom Grant Winners

June Baldwin Turnell Aspiring Teacher Grant

The June Baldwin Turnell Certification grant is presented each year to a non-certified CCSD staff member seeking teaching certification.

We will be accepting applications for the 2026 June Baldwin Turnell Aspiring Teacher Grant August 1 - September 30, 2026.
